Claudio Constantini is a pianist, bandoneonist and composer, born in Perú, and currently living in The Netherlands.
Claudio Constantini was born into a family of musicians. He studied piano in his home city of Lima with his father Gerardo Constantini, obtained his Bachelor degree in the Lahti Polytechnic faculty of music in Finland, and later his Master Degree at the Rotterdam Conservatorium, both times graduating Cum Laude (with highest honours). He moved to The Netherlands together with his wife Suvi Myöhänen (violinist) to study bandoneón with Víctor Villena and Leo Vervelde, and arrangements and analysis lessons with Gustavo Beytelmann, to later continue classical piano studies with Aquiles Delle Vigne.
Claudio, at his young age, is already one of the most notable Peruvian musicians on the international scene. He simultaneously holds a career as a bandoneonist, pianist, arranger, transcriber, and teacher. He has appeared in important venues and festivals in four continents. He is the leader and founder of (among other groups) the Milonga del Norte sextet which won the 1st prize in the Astor Piazzolla international competition in Italy 2005, and the Septetoscopio ensemble. He holds several international prizes, and can be seen performing regularly at podia around Europe.
